Events - Frequently Asked Questions

What types of school events do you photograph?
I photograph the full range of international school events including proms and formal dinners, graduation and prize-giving ceremonies, cultural celebration days, charity fundraisers, speech days, parent galas and community events. If it matters to your school community, it's worth photographing properly.

How do you work at a live event without being disruptive?
Discretion is central to how I work at events. I use professional low-light equipment that doesn't require flash in most situations, I dress appropriately for the occasion, and I move quietly through the room. Most guests forget I'm there within the first few minutes — which is exactly when the best images happen.

How many images will we receive from an event shoot?
This depends on the length and nature of the event, but a typical three to four hour evening event delivers between 100 and 200 fully edited images. Longer events or those with multiple distinct elements — a ceremony followed by a dinner and dancing, for example — will deliver more.

How quickly are event images delivered?
Edited images are delivered within 5 working days via a private online gallery. Rush delivery within 48 hours is available on request for schools that need images quickly for social media or press.

Can you cover both the formal and informal parts of an event?
Yes, in fact the best event coverage usually includes both. Formal group shots and ceremonial moments alongside candid, atmospheric images of guests enjoying themselves gives your communications team far more to work with than posed shots alone.

Do you travel to schools outside Abu Dhabi and Dubai for events?
Yes. While I'm based in Abu Dhabi with regular availability across Dubai, I cover events at international schools across the UAE and wider region. Travel costs for events outside the UAE are agreed in advance.
